Practice with a free demo (paper money, no API key), then go live with your own Gate.io account under risk limits an operator sets for you. You always control your funds — we place and close trades through a trade-only API key and never deposit, withdraw, or hold your money.

1. Try a demo trade (no key, zero risk)

Then place a Close position to lock in profit or loss — your P&L appears in My trading report. - 2. Connect your Gate.io API key In Gate.io create an API key with Futures/Spot trade permission ON और निकासी बंद (step-by-step: key setup guide). Back in the cabinet, paste your key + secret, choose your country, tick the risk checkbox, and click कनेक्ट और सत्यापित करें. We confirm it works by reading your balance — nothing is traded yet.
- 3. An operator enables live trading & sets your limits For safety, new accounts start with live trading बंद. An operator reviews your account and sets your caps: leverage 0–3× (default 1×), a अधिकतम पोजीशन आकार, और एक daily-loss limit. You can pick any leverage up to your cap from the लीवरेज dropdown.
- 4. Place your first live trade Untick डेमो, start with the सबसे छोटे आकार, and click Place market order. Every order is checked against your caps server-side. Watch it in My trading report and close whenever you want — closing a position is always allowed.
The Survival Rule — before you trade
Drawdowns are not accidents — they are part of the cycle. The question is not whether one will happen, but whether you have a rule for it before it arrives.
Our overlay uses two conditions: when an asset is down 20–25% from its peak और trading below its 200-day average, the rule steps aside. It does not predict the bottom. It waits for a confirmed bounce of 15–20% off the trough, then re-enters in three steps — one third at the trigger, one third above the 50-day average, one third above the 200-day. This is the squeeze protocol.
Walk-forward tests across 14 coins and 56 independent windows show the rule cutting drawdowns in bear phases. The honest trade-off: it is insurance, not alpha — in bull markets it lags simple buy-and-hold because it raises cash too early.

Research discipline — how we test
Every idea passes the same pipeline before it ever touches a live account: real exchange candles, entries filled at the next open, fees charged on both sides, in-sample selection locked away from out-of-sample windows, and anchored walk-forward with train-only parameter choice. If a rule looks good because the data was peeked at, it dies in review.
Why we publish the failures. A backtest that only shows winners is a lie. We publish negative results so the positive ones mean something: a raw signal feed of 52,800 entries showed no durable edge after fees — we shelved it, not marketed it; a 52-week-high pullback screen returned "NOT_READY" across both crypto and equities. Publishing these makes the numbers that survive worth reading.
The phase machine. Market regime is not an opinion. Our state machine reads deterministic triggers from daily price data — 200-day trend, drawdown-from-peak thresholds, bounce confirmations — and recomputes every day. There is no guru call. There is only: what phase are we in, and what does the rulebook say to do.
What we never do: cherry-pick out-of-sample windows; bake in fee rebates or slippage assumptions that do not match real execution; promise returns, guaranteed outcomes, or "beat the market" claims.
