Which exchange is cheapest for a regular user?
At entry level: MEXC 0% maker / 0.05% taker (verified on our own account via API), OKX 0.08% / 0.10%, Bybit 0.10% / 0.10% (also API-verified), Gate.io 0.10% / 0.10% (0.09% paying in GT). The gap narrows or flips at VIP levels — see the schedules above.
What is the difference between maker and taker fees?
A maker order rests in the book and adds liquidity; a taker order fills immediately against a resting one. Exchanges charge takers more — and at the top OKX tiers makers are paid a rebate instead of charged.
Do these numbers include futures and CFD fees?
This page compares spot schedules. Gate.io additionally publishes stock, futures, CFD and loan-interest tabs — it is the only one of the three with a public CFD fee schedule; we snapshot those too as the section grows.
How fresh are these numbers?
Every figure carries the snapshot date shown above and links to the exchange's own fee page as the source. If a snapshot fails, the previous one stays up with its original date — we never silently guess.
Rates are the exchanges' published schedules for ordinary accounts and can differ by region, coin group or promotional program. This page is information, not investment advice. Links marked as partner links may earn us a commission at no cost to you.
